The brooch has become one of the strongest clues in the investigation so far, with police now directly linking the item back to Summer. Viewers already know that Summer returned to the flat that evening as earlier scenes from the Murder Week episodes showed her going back there. One possibility is that she accidentally dropped the brooch while hurrying out of the apartment after whatever took place inside.
