🚨 TOTAL CHAOS! The ultimate Dingle betrayal that will change Emmerdale FOREVER! 🤫❌
The Dingle family just cannot catch a break in Emmerdale.
At the start of the year, everything changed for Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) as he received a prostate cancer diagnosis. While this was happening, his wife Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) was in prison for crimes she didn’t commit.
It was an incredibly stressful time for them, but it was made even worse thanks to Joe Tate (Ned Porteous), who was hellbent on getting Butler’s Farm from Moira.
He succeeded in his plan after some vile manipulation and blackmail tactics. Moira is now out of prison, living with many other Dingle family members at Wishing Well.
While Moira found a positive focus in the new Dingle farm, Cain was consumed with worry regarding the side effects of his prostate cancer surgery. As a result of the operation, Cain has been experiencing incontinence, and chose to hide himself away from the world to prevent any embarassing mishaps.

A conversation with Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) eventually pushed Cain to make huge progress though. He decided to buy leak-proof underwear online, knowing his friend was making a valid point about not letting post-surgery ruin his life.
Slowly adapting to his new normal, Cain asks Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn) if he can come to the swearing-in cermony at cadets in a few days time. Kyle is thrilled to be reconnecting with his dad after spending time believing that he didn’t want to hang out with him.
At the event though, Kyle takes the Army Cadet oath, but realises Cain’s chair is empty.
Unbeknownst to Kyle, Cain is rushing into the Woolpack toilets after spotting a wet patch on his trousers. Hiding in the cubical, Cain finds support from Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin), who has arrived with a clean pair of trousers.
Charles and Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) try and comfort Cain and assure them of their discretion. They encourage him to be brave and return to the ceremony, and he eventually does.

When Cain arrives, he confesses his accident to Kyle and apologises for missing the swearing-in. The young lad reassures his dad that he wasn’t embarrassed, and is just pleased that he came back.
