Emmerdale’s Graham Foster faces ultimate devastation as star teases explosive ‘fiery’ twist!

Emmerdale confirmed a Graham Foster spoiler for next week as actor Andrew Scarborough teases the “fiery” storyline in the ITV soap.
Actor Andrew Scarborough joined the ITV cast as Graham back in 2017. He arrived as Joe Tate’s right-hand man, with Joe at the time going under the alias of Tom Waterhouse.
He was helping Joe take out revenge on those he felt had wronged him after the death of his father Chris Tate, and of course this meant he had quite the fiery connection with Dales legend, Kim Tate.
Kim and Graham even ended up getting married so that she could protect her financial assets while in prison, but she used this against him when wanting to jeopardise his evolving romance with Rhona Goskirk.
However, he met a deadly end after being killed off by Rhona Goskirk’s ex-husband and rapist Pierce Harris hit him over the head with a torch following a battle that involved Graham falling off a cliff. His “death” resulted in a “whodunnit” for several episodes after he had made multiple enemies in the village leading up to the tragedy.
A flashback eventually showed Graham’s perspective of the night, with Pierce having been the one to end his life – or so viewers have been made to believe over the last six years.
Viewers were left in shock when Corriedale aired and Graham made an appearance where he was very much still living and breathing as he kept an eye out over Joe Tate in hospital after the epic crash.

He eventually explained to Rhona that he had never actually died, and faked his own death after overhearing that Kim was trying to get him killed anyway.
In upcoming spoilers next week, Kyle is disappointed when Cain turns down spending time with him. Meanwhile, Graham is determined to catch the Emmerdale Farm arsonist. Cain is angry to find Kyle skipping school and vents to Kammy about Kyle’s obsession with fixing up his Golf, making Kyle feel his dad doesn’t enjoy their time together.
When a lighter falls out of Kyle’s bag, he fights temptation. Graham spots smoke and rushes to find Kyle watching his Golf burn. After pulling Kyle to safety, Graham realises Kyle is the fire-starter. He’s furious, and his own past trauma with fire is triggered, but Kyle explains his actions are a response to his troubles.
When they see Moira approach, Kyle hides in Graham’s car. Later, Graham is understanding and allows Kyle to open up about his motivations, promising to help but insisting Kyle must first confess to Cain and Moira. Graham’s determined to turn Kyle’s life around and signs him up to the cadets.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News and other press, Andrew teased: “I think it’s that vulnerability of being lost. Because Graham’s backstory has a lot of tragedy, and he’s lost and found things that were not good for him to get out of. He self-medicated. Arson, I suppose is a form of that. Pyrotechnics. So, he sees Kyle as somebody who’s lost his way, and still young, so he has a bit more forgiveness for him.
“I think Graham would have been a very good tutor in another life. He’d have been one of those guys you would have gone to as a rock, if he hadn’t gone off the path himself. I think that’s what he’s trying to give Kyle.”
He added: “It’s odd because I would hope that it doesn’t look like he’s trying to manoeuvre to be Machiavellian, to do something. I don’t think that’s the side to him. I don’t think he plays that way.

“He’s fairer than that, and he wouldn’t do that to the boy either. So, he’s not playing mind games. I think it’s genuine care. He wants to be paternal and put him on the right track.”
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX and YouTube from 7am.
