Coronation Street fans left shaking as jaw-dropping flashbacks finally expose the truth behind Theo’s murder!

The mystery of who murdered Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) is about to get a lot less mysterious when a series of flashbacks exposes the secrets and lies of one Coronation Street resident…

The death of the monstrous abuser has sent shockwaves through the Street, and sent six character right to the top of the suspect list.

At the top, there’s Theo’s husband and victim, Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce), who suffered appalling physical and emotional abuse at the hands of the raging narcissist for the best part of a year.

Then there’s his friend and father figure George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley), who was first to recognise the many red flags of this toxic relationship, along with his supportive partner, Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins).

Next up is Danielle Silverton (Natalie Anderson), Theo’s scorned ex-wife, who is set to make a reappearance on the Cobbles and bond with Todd over their evil ex.

So far, the focus of the police investigation on Gary Windass (Mikey North), Theo’s former employer at the builder’s yard. Theo and Gary were best of buds… until Gary finally saw his so-called mate’s true colours. Not only did Gary implicitly threaten Theo’s life by text and in person, but he smashed up his van. No wonder Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) considers the Weatherfield bad boy a prime suspect in Theo’s murder. After all, it wouldn’t be the first time Gary that got blood on his hands.

Recent episode have seen the finger of suspicion point to Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby). Todd previously dated her adoptive father Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), who Theo left to die in a flaming wreckage out of sheer jealousy.

As far as we know, she was the last person to see Theo alive. Summer was searching the flat for something when Theo disturbed her and advanced on the poor girl menacingly, seemingly about to kill her. How Summer got away is currently unknown.

What is known is that she kept a journal where she put to page all the hatred and anger she felt towards Theo… including a disturbing passage fantasing about putting a gun to his head. When George and Christina discover this, they soon start to question Summer’s innocence which leads to serious drama – especially when Summer is taken down the police station for questioning.

The drama kicks off when Christina tells a lie to the police out of sheer panic, prompting George to take drastic action that potentially implicates Summer in the eyes of Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers).

When a guilty George confesses all to Todd, it causes a serious crack in their friendship that results in Todd moving in with Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien).

Things take another turn when Todd tells Sarah that he won’t be attending Theo’s funeral. So when Danielle returns to the Cobbles, it gives her the perfect opportunity to accuse a gobsmacked Todd of murdering Theo for his life insurance.

But Danielle’s not looking squeaky clean herself. Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) follows Danielle and reveals he recognises her from the night of the murder.
