The actress made her entrance on the ITV soap two years ago as Steph Miligan, daughter to Ruby and Caleb. She arrived in the village with her grandfather Anthony Fox, oblivious to his disturbing history.

It was at this point that viewers discovered the reason behind Ruby’s struggles, as flashbacks revealed that Anthony had repeatedly sexually abused her during her teenage years.

The horror deepened further when a DNA test disclosed that Steph was Anthony’s biological daughter.

Her grandfather was subsequently killed by Ruby following several fatal blows from Aaron Dingle, who sought justice based on his own experience with an abusive father, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Ruby then chose to reveal everything to Steph, sending her into a downward spiral upon hearing the news. She even contemplated undergoing plastic surgery, as all she could perceive was Anthony’s reflection staring back at her.

Steph ultimately announced her departure to Rome for a yoga retreat. Following an emotional farewell from her parents, Ross Barton attempted to convince her to remain, but his efforts proved futile.

In recent episodes, Steph has been referenced once more after an AI replica of her voice was being utilised to defraud Caleb of thousands of pounds.

Fans may have been holding out hope for Steph’s return to the Dales, but on Friday (June 12), Ruby observed that Caleb has been missing his daughter’s presence.

When Chas enquired about the possibility of her making a comeback soon, Ruby responded: “I doubt it. She’s all settled now.

“She’s got a new bloke. They’re off on holiday in Thailand. Don’t tell Caleb she’s there. She doesn’t want him to know – he worries!”.

Georgia still looks back warmly on her stint in the Yorkshire-set soap and took to Instagram to share some photos with her on-screen parents William Ash and Beth Cordingly, as well as Ross Barton star Michael Parr.

She penned: “Can’t believe I left the village nearly a year ago! Miss you Steph, and everyone who made it so special.”

Since departing Emmerdale, Georgia graced our screens once again as she featured in ITV’s The Hack. The series delved into the phone hacking scandal that sent shockwaves across the nation.

Spanning from 2002 to 2012, the drama intertwines two real-life stories.
