Emmerdale stars spotted doing THIS backstage after devastating exit news leaves fans in tears!

 

Emmerdale stars Lisa Riley and Bradley Johnson has shared a sweet photo together amid rumours that the latter is set to be departing the ITV soap at some point this year.

Johnson has been playing Vinny Dingle on the show since 2019, with unconfirmed reports stating that Mandy actor Riley is especially “devastated” by the news.

Riley didn’t acknowledge the reports in the photo she uploaded to her Instagram today, simply writing “Me and my boy @bradjakejohnson gorgeous morning at our @emmerdale village”.

Of course, that didn’t stop fans from commenting about the reports and hoping that they aren’t correct.

“I’m seriously Annoyed if the rumours are true that @emmerdale are getting rid of vinnys [sic] character”, wrote one fan, while another said: “Please keep Vinny in Emmerdale.”

“Please don’t let him leave”, begged a third.

Emmerdale hasn’t commented on the reports of Johnson’s exit, as the soap does not tend to comment on cast contracts.

Since joining the village, Vinny has dealt with his estranged father Paul with the help of Liv, who he eventually married before her shocking death.

He later married Gabby Thomas, but by that point he had started to doubt his own sexuality, and was blackmailed by an online con artist.

Vinny eventually found the courage to come out, thanks in part to the support from his close friend Kammy Hadiq, and has slowly been embarking on a relationship with Lewis Barton in the last few months.

Given Vinny’s popularity and all the storylines that he’s been given over the year, could he really be facing the axe? A certain upcoming plot will definitely see a rift form in his relationship…

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX and YouTube.
