Emmerdale spoilers follow from Friday’s episode (29 May), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet.

Emmerdale’s arson mystery is finally over – with the secret culprit revealed in the show’s latest episode.

The truth is shared with viewers in Friday’s visit to the village, shortly after Robert Sugden wrongly accuses yet another local resident. Keep reading if you want to know who the culprit is…

Robert’s latest theory is that ruthless Graham Foster is responsible for the series of mystery blazes on Emmerdale Farm.

He points the finger after spotting Graham snooping around on the land, but Graham insists that he’s investigating the fires – not starting them himself!

It’s perhaps no surprise that Robert would suspect Graham, who is Joe Tate’s ever-loyal right-hand man. Joe has an axe to grind after Robert exposed his role in Moira Dingle’s recent prison ordeal. This revelation almost destroyed Joe’s relationship with Dawn Fletcher, so there’s still bad blood.

Once Robert is convinced that Graham isn’t taking revenge on Joe’s behalf, the enemies all manage to get on the same page for once. Joe and Graham reluctantly agree to install CCTV on the farm, which is owned by the Tates, so the culprit can finally be unmasked.

Back at Wishing Well Cottage later on, Aaron Dingle reports back to Cain, Kyle Winchester and new resident Kammy Hadiq.

“Graham reckons he nearly caught someone today – the arsonist,” Aaron explains. “He’s been keeping an eye on the place since Joe thought it was me and Robert starting the fires, and he reckons that he’s seen someone today acting all suspicious and they were too far away to make out who it was.

“Just someone in a dark hoodie, which is pretty much everyone we know. Anyway, Joe’s putting cameras up now.”

After hearing the news, Kyle creeps away to burn some evidence – his dark hoodie! It’s clear that he’s been the arsonist all along, but with Graham on the case, is he already close to being caught out?

Emmerdale fans had suspected Kyle for a while, as he gave a suspicious glance when the arson attacks were being discussed in a previous episode.

Viewers also noticed a subtle clue in the show’s closing credits which pointed to his guilt.

Kyle lost his home when Robert and Aaron moved into Butlers, and he’s faced a stressful time following his dad Cain being diagnosed with cancer. Has this all pushed him to the edge?

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
