Grey’s Anatomy Star Camilla Luddington Reveals Her ‘Desperate’ Summer Plan To Survive Her Kids! ☀️

In an exclusive interview with People Magazine, Grey’s Anatomy star Camilla Luddington opened up about her upcoming summer plans with her two children—daughter Hayden and son Lucas—whom she shares with husband Matthew Alan. The actress candidly discussed the realities of managing a busy household, her relaxed parenting style, and her recent health journey.

Like many parents, Luddington admits that keeping young children entertained during the summer months can be an overwhelming task. Expressing her relatable thoughts on the season, she shared:

“Oh God, the dreaded summer entertainment.”

Instead of jetting off on an elaborate vacation, Luddington explained that her family’s summer schedule will be entirely focused on local youth sports and outdoor activities:

“It’s going to be a lot of sports — that’s the truth. We haven’t planned a summer vacation yet, but definitely a lot of T-ball, softball and us sitting on the sidelines.”

When it comes to managing snacks and feeding her kids during back-to-back sports games, Luddington emphasizes that she takes a highly practical, stress-free approach to motherhood. Dismissing traditional societal pressures, she confidently stated:

“Also, listen, I do know that I could throw them a bag of donuts and they’d be excited, but I don’t have mom guilt over this.”

“And so for me, I’m a little type B. I don’t always have the right things. This is perfect grab-and-go.”

Beyond parenting, the actress also shared an update on her personal well-being after being diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease, an autoimmune disorder. Luddington opened up about how addressing her diagnosis allowed her to regain her physical strength and find the stamina needed for her family and her demanding career:

“I was very puffy all the time, not knowing why I was exhausted. I was not working out. I hadn’t seen a workout class in years, and I’m back at Barry’s bootcamp lifting weights. So I feel more myself. I feel like I have more energy for work, for my family.”

“It feels like a lot of self-care at this point, just avoiding gluten and all these things that I’m sort of learning.”
