Kody Brown finally admits the ONE thing fans predicted for years!

Sister Wives star Kody Brown admitted that his last remaining wife, Robyn Brown, made it difficult for him to end his spiritual marriages with ex-wives Meri Brown and Janelle Brown.

Robyn, 46, confronted Kody, 55, about some “strange” things he said in the past to her in a teaser clip for the Sunday, January 5, episode shared by Entertainment Tonight. “Are you just bitter or are you rewriting the past?” she asked.

“I don’t want to blame you for me hanging on to Meri,” he responded. “I felt like I couldn’t get out of that and you were back in my conscious saying, ‘You can’t leave.’”

Robyn insisted that she did not prevent Kody and Meri, 53, from ending their marriage sooner, but instead encouraged the former couple to see if they could work through their issues before they called it quits.

“I’m not gonna sit here and try and fix things with a marriage that will never work,” Kody said as he continued to reflect on Robyn’s involvement in the end of his marriage to Meri. “Just because you think that we should, or your belief in plural marriage.”

After Robyn asked if Janelle, 55, was “interested” in rejoining their plural family, Kody said that she was closed off to the idea.

Kody went on to express his version of the conflict in a confessional, and he shared examples of how Robyn seemingly encouraged him to stay in marriages he wasn’t happy with.

“I probably would have moved on from Meri a lot sooner, but Robyn was constantly encouraging that relationship. She told me that I needed to go and sleep on Christine [Brown]’s couch when Christine kicked me out of the house, and I was like, ‘No way. I’m not doing that,’” Kody said in a confessional, adding that Robyn was “begging” him not to fight with Janelle in another instance.

Janelle also weighed in on the claims, admitting she had “no idea what Robyn was pushing Kody to do.” She continued in her own confessional, “I think it’s a shame if Kody could be that controlled by Robyn that he would stay in a relationship that, you know, wasn’t working.”

Meanwhile, Meri admitted she knew that “Robyn was very much wanting [her] and Kody’s relationship to heal.”

“I do believe that when Robyn came into the family, she intended to have a plural family,” Meri continued in a solo confessional. “And I don’t think that that changed.”

For years, Sister Wives viewers have debated one question more than any other: how much influence did Robyn Brown really have over Kody Brown’s relationships with his other wives? Now, in a surprising confession that has sent shockwaves through the fanbase, Kody himself appears to be confirming what many viewers have suspected all along.

During an emotional and revealing conversation, Kody opened up about the collapse of his plural marriages and made a stunning admission regarding Robyn’s role in the family. While he stopped short of directly blaming her for the end of his relationships with Meri Brown and Janelle Brown, he acknowledged that her opinions and encouragement played a significant role in decisions he made over the years.

The revelation immediately caught the attention of longtime fans, many of whom have spent years arguing that Robyn had far more influence over Kody than anyone was willing to admit. Now, hearing those words come directly from Kody has left many viewers feeling completely vindicated.

The drama unfolded when Robyn confronted Kody about comments he had previously made regarding their family history. She questioned whether he was becoming bitter or attempting to rewrite events from the past. It was a tense moment that quickly turned into one of the most revealing conversations the series has seen in recent years.

Kody responded by discussing his long and complicated relationship with Meri. According to him, there were times when he felt trapped in a marriage that had long since stopped functioning. However, he claimed that Robyn consistently encouraged him to keep trying rather than walk away.

In what many fans viewed as a shocking confession, Kody explained that he often felt pressure to continue pursuing reconciliation with Meri, even when he personally believed the relationship was beyond repair.

Rather than accusing Robyn of intentionally causing problems, Kody suggested that she repeatedly encouraged him to stay committed to the principles of plural marriage. He implied that her faith in the family structure made it difficult for him to fully step away from relationships that were already struggling.

Robyn, however, pushed back against the idea that she prevented Kody and Meri from ending things sooner.

She argued that her actions came from a desire to help preserve the family. From her perspective, she was simply encouraging the couple to work through their issues before making permanent decisions. She maintained that she wanted reconciliation, not prolongation of suffering.

But Kody’s version of events painted a more complicated picture.

As he reflected on the breakdown of his marriages, he explained that he had reached points where he no longer believed certain relationships could be repaired. Despite those feelings, he said Robyn frequently encouraged him to keep trying.

For viewers who have watched years of tension unfold on screen, the admission felt like a major turning point.

The conversation didn’t stop with Meri.

Kody also discussed situations involving Christine Brown and Janelle Brown, offering examples of occasions when Robyn allegedly urged him to repair fractured relationships rather than abandon them.

One of the most surprising stories involved Christine. Kody recalled a difficult period when his relationship with Christine had deteriorated badly. According to him, Robyn encouraged him to make efforts toward reconciliation even after Christine had effectively pushed him away.

Kody revealed that Robyn suggested he continue trying to reconnect despite the obvious challenges. He admitted that he rejected the idea at the time because he felt the situation had already gone too far.

Another example involved Janelle.

According to Kody, Robyn repeatedly encouraged peace between him and Janelle during periods of intense conflict. He claimed she urged him not to escalate disagreements and instead focus on preserving the relationship.

These comments surprised many viewers because they directly contradict a narrative that has circulated among fans for years. Critics of Robyn have frequently accused her of wanting Kody all to herself and intentionally driving wedges between him and the other wives.

Yet Kody’s latest comments seem to suggest the opposite.

His version of events portrays Robyn as someone who consistently advocated for maintaining the plural family, even when he was ready to walk away.

Whether fans believe that version of the story is another matter entirely.

Janelle Brown also weighed in on the controversy, and her reaction added another layer to the ongoing debate.

Speaking candidly, Janelle admitted that she had never been aware of the private conversations taking place between Kody and Robyn. She said she had no idea what advice Robyn may have been giving him behind the scenes.

However, Janelle also made a pointed observation.

She suggested that if Kody truly remained in unhappy relationships because of Robyn’s influence, that raises serious questions about his own decision-making.

Janelle seemed skeptical of the idea that Kody could be so heavily influenced by another person that he would stay in a marriage he genuinely wanted to leave.

Her comments struck a chord with viewers who believe Kody should ultimately be responsible for his own choices.

After all, regardless of what advice someone receives, the final decision remains their own.

Meanwhile, Meri offered a much more understanding perspective.

Unlike some of the criticism directed toward Robyn over the years, Meri acknowledged that Robyn genuinely appeared invested in repairing her marriage with Kody.

Meri revealed that she always felt Robyn wanted their relationship to heal. She never viewed Robyn as someone actively trying to separate them.

In fact, Meri suggested that Robyn’s commitment to plural marriage remained sincere throughout the years.

According to Meri, when Robyn first joined the Brown family, she truly wanted the large, united family she had envisioned. More importantly, Meri believes that desire never changed.

That statement may come as a surprise to viewers who have long viewed Robyn as the primary beneficiary of the family’s collapse.

For years, many fans have argued that Robyn ultimately became Kody’s favorite wife and enjoyed privileges that the others did not receive. Those perceptions intensified as Christine, Janelle, and eventually Meri all separated from Kody.

As each marriage ended, criticism aimed at Robyn grew louder.

Now, however, Kody’s comments are complicating that narrative.

If his account is accurate, then Robyn was not encouraging him to abandon his wives. Instead, she was urging him to remain committed to the plural marriage lifestyle that originally brought the family together.

That doesn’t necessarily mean fans will suddenly change their opinions.

Many viewers remain deeply skeptical of both Kody and Robyn, particularly after years of emotional conflicts, fractured relationships, and painful family divisions documented on television.

Still, Kody’s confession represents one of the most significant revelations of the season.

For supporters of Robyn, the comments serve as evidence that she has been unfairly blamed for the breakdown of the family.

For critics, the admission may simply raise new questions about why Kody repeatedly allowed another person’s opinions to influence such major life decisions.

Either way, the conversation has reignited one of the most passionate debates in Sister Wives history.

Did Robyn genuinely fight to save the family while everyone assumed otherwise?

Or is this simply another attempt to reinterpret events after the damage has already been done?

As the Brown family’s story continues to unfold, one thing is certain: Kody’s explosive confession has reopened old wounds, sparked fresh controversy, and left fans dissecting every detail once again.

And for many longtime viewers who spent years insisting that Robyn held more influence over Kody than anyone admitted, hearing him acknowledge her role in these relationships felt like the ultimate confirmation of what they believed all along.
