WOODSTOCK, Ga. (WKRC) — David Landsman, the boyfriend of former “Chrisley Knows Best” star Lindsie Chrisley, was arrested in Woodstock, Georgia, last week after an alleged violent assault.

Landsman was arrested on charges of felony aggravated assault/strangulation and misdemeanor battery on April 10. He was booked into the Cherokee County Jail, but has since been released.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit obtained by PEOPLE, Landsman is accused of placing his right hand around the victim’s neck, applying pressure and telling the victim they were “not going anywhere. He also pushed the person from a house, causing them to fall backward and hit their head on the concrete. The victim was reportedly left with a laceration to their head.

Prosecutors have not formally charged Landsman yet.

Chrisley, now a podcast host, appeared alongside her father, Todd Chrisley, in the family’s reality television series, “Chrisley Knows Best,” from 2014 to 2017.

WASHINGTON (TNND) — Pope Leo XIV warned world leaders on Monday to slow it down when it comes to artificial intelligence in his manifesto.

The manifesto is titled “Magnifica Humanitas” and states that lawmakers should address the availability of AI with “clarity to establish adequate regulatory tools capable of upholding justice and curbing the distorting effects of technological power.”

He wrote that the technology shouldn’t be considered as a force antagonistic to humanity and it should be used for good.

“New technologies open up a horizon extending in directions that are imaginable but not yet fully predictable,” the pope wrote. “This complicates the assessment of their potential impact and the long-term effects they may have on both the dignity of individuals and the common good.”

Last month, faith leaders requested that lawmakers ensure that there are legal safeguards to make sure humans control artificial-intelligence weapons.

In a letter to members of Congress first obtained by Axios, faith leaders make clear that they want humans controlling AI-weapons, not machines.

In the manifesto, Pope Leo said there needs to be an open discussion about ethical frameworks regarding AI.

“Calling for prudence, rigorous evaluation and even, at times, a slower pace in adopting AI does not mean opposing progress; instead, it is an exercise of responsible care for the human family,” he wrote.
