Following her campaign of intimidation against young trainee medic Jacob Sugden (Joe-Warren Plant) at the hospital, Dr Todd, portrayed by Caroline Harker, shifted her focus to Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins).

During Sunday evening’s episode, Dr Todd sexually assaulted Charity following weeks of extorting her regarding the real parentage of baby Leyla.

Charity acted as a surrogate for granddaughter Sarah Sugden and Sarah’s husband Jacob, delivering baby Leyla. Nevertheless, Charity has neglected to inform the new parents that she and Ross Barton are actually Leyla’s biological parents after a brief romantic encounter.
